The Midland Hotel is generously offering attendees of the exhibition the opportunity to book a meal at their famous restaurant, Mr Coopers. If you wish to take advantage of this special offer, contact them direct on : www.mrcoopershouseandgarden.co.uk
” Primarily this exhibition is an astonishingly original contribution to the tradition of en plein air painting: the works articulate some sophisticated but decisive answers to questions as old as painting itself. Secondarily, it is a serious contribution to the phenomenology of vision. These canvases show how we engage with and navigate a moving world, and they add considerale beauty to the world as they do so. Thirdly, Pointon has made a lasting contribution to the culture of a city of global cultural importance, and in his brave, forceful and eloquent art he has shown us new ways to celebrate its people. “
