The Hive

By Rob Pointon

I sat down for this painting in a particularly cold and busy spot of Manchester Piccadilly. The station manager kept popping by to see how zombie-like I was painting his customers this time. He said they look like bats in this painting which is a great observation. I settled on ‘The Hive’ for a title, I felt like David Attenborough studying worker bees or a colony of ants all rushing by with purpose.
